R.Kelly was arrested
Wednesday in Polk County, Florida
After a nationwide warrant was issued to turn himself in,
according to Reuters.
"Even
thought I don't believe any of these
charged are warranted, I am grateful that I
will have a chance to established the truth about me in
a court of law".Kelly said in a statement released by his publicist.
Kelly,
35, has denied he is the man in the video, which
has been sold on street corners in major cities and over
the Internet and become a topic among music fans.
"I
have complete faith in our justice system ,and I am confident that
when all there facts come out people will see that I'm no criminal". He
said

Earlier Wednesday, the singer was indicted by a grand jury that charged him with 21 counts of child pornography, according to an Associated Press report. The charges break down to seven counts of videotaping sex acts with a minor, seven counts of producing the video and seven counts of soliciting or enticing the girl into having illicit sex.
The charges stem from a videotape sent anonymously to the Chicago Sun-Times that appears to show R. Kelly having sex with a 14-year-old girl, allegedly the niece of Sparkle, a singer and past collaborator with the Grammy award-winning singer. The felony charges against Kelly yield a maximum jail term of 15 years and a fine up to $100,000.
